My name is Amanda Fordham, and I am so excited to be teaching at Glencoe Elementary this year!  I graduated from Southside High School in 1997.  From there, I attended Jacksonville State University where I obtained a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  I later attended UAB where I got my Master's degree in English as a Second Language.

Before coming to GES, I previously taught three years of Kindergarten for the Gadsden City Board of Education.  I then transferred to the Etowah County School System and taught fifth grade for eleven years at Carlisle Elementary.  I am have loved every year of teaching, especially  teaching fourth grade here at Glencoe Elementary.  I love teaching children.  If your child is in my classroom, I will do everything possible to make their time in fourth grade as enjoyable and meaningful as possible.

My husband, Josh, and I live in Gadsden with our son, Hunter, my mother, and our dogs, Roxy and Dixie.  My time away from school is spent watching Hunter do the things he loves like playing golf, shooting his bow, and fishing.  I also enjoy my time relaxing on the lake and reading a great book.
