Fordham, Amanda
Mrs. Fordham
Name:  Amanda Fordham
Grade:  Fourth grade
My name is Amanda Fordham, and I am so excited to be teaching at Glencoe Elementary this year!  I graduated from Southside High School in 1997.  From there, I attended Jacksonville State University where I obtained a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  I later attended UAB where I got my Master's degree in English as a Second Language.
This is my fifteenth year of teaching.  I previously taught three years of Kindergarten for the Gadsden City Board of Education.  I then transferred to the Etowah County School System and taught fifth grade for eleven years at Carlisle Elementary.  I am looking forward to the new adventure of teaching fourth grade here at Glencoe Elementary.  I love teaching children.  If your child is in my classroom, I will do everything possible to make their time in fourth grade as enjoyable and meaningful as possible.
My husband, Josh, and I live in Glencoe with our son, Hunter, and our dog, Roxy.  My time away from school is spent watching Hunter play the sports that he loves and relaxing on the lake.
