What is Reading Intervention?
Reading Intervention is small group instruction with a focus upon reading skills. Students in these small groups participate with others from their grade level. The focus of the instruction is tailored to suit the needs of the group of students and changes as the students' needs change. Students are evaluated by their classroom teachers periodically and can be rotated out of the program and another student may take their place. The purpose of small group reading intervention is to provide support for students struggling in reading.
